Also, the summer of 2018 marked the closing of the musical – Elvis ’68 – at the Maverick Theater in Fullerton, CA.  This is a rockin’ musical that I arranged, provided musical direction and played (tormented) a few Fender Telecasters.  The musical was written by Brian Newell and reconstructed the making of the famous Elvis Presley 1968 Comeback Special.   It had four separate sold out runs due to its popularity.  Frankly, it was a blast and made me more aware of how hip Elvis was.

Other news, the movie, Dead Sexy is released.  Produced and Directed by Brian Newell and Written by Rex Riffel.  The music for Dead Sexy was composed and performed by Jack Majdecki.  It’s a funny, light movie!
